English for Cabin Crew *CEFR B2
Course Description
English for Cabin Crew has been developed specifically for flight attendants who need to use English every day at work and for people who are training to become cabin crew. This course will show learners how to communicate clearly, directly, and with authority, but also politely, even when dealing with difficult situations.
Assessment
Requirements
Students are required to show at the end of the session that they have the profile of a cabin crew through the following points:
- Good mastery of english language (B1+ as a minimum level)
-Knowledge in the cabin crew vocabulary
-Ability to use communicative skills on how to address problems on board through customer service skills (active listening, sense of argumentation, polite forms)
Team working skills and how to interact with different people from different cultures.
- Ability to ace the recruitments and especially the pre-selections (Open day, group discussion, teamwork, English test, face to face interview)
Course Objectives
In this class, participants will not only examine speaking, listening, writing, and reading activities, they will also look closely at industry specific grammar, language, pronunciation and particularly recruitment simulations and situations on board. Participants will explore ways to ask questions, give instructions, explain procedures, make suggestions and put into practice their soft skills.

Student Assessment
You will be evaluated in a variety of ways throughout the course and receive feedback from the teacher to help you continue to improve your English language skills. Student assessment is based on the following criteria, on a scale of 100%. The passing grade is 75%.

Attendance Policy
Students cannot miss more than 8 hours (20%) of class time in order to pass the course. Late arrivals are counted towards the 8-hour limit. Students who are absent for two consecutive classes will receive a phone call from the EL Department to check on reasons for absences.
