    Purpose of the Course:

    The 40-hour TOEFL iBT Preparatory Course at AMIDEAST is an English proficiency test conducted by institutes around the world. It provides students with a thorough understanding of the language skills regularly used in TOEFL as well as clearly defined strategies and tactics to maximize their performance and master the different skills necessary to achieve the best possible score on the TOEFL iBT.

    Course Objectives:

    As a result of taking this intense course, you will be able to:

    • Approach the 4 sections Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing (integrated, and independent skills sections) of the iBT TOEFL with appropriate test-taking strategies for each question and avoid trap options to achieve the section and total target score
    • Improve the quality of speaking by taking organized Speaking notes and Writing under pressure with ease and efficiency
    • Review grammatical patterns on TOEFL
    • Learn the scoring procedure and interpret your test scores
    • Your primary goal is to improve your test scores on the TOEFL test!

    AMIDEAST Policies: 

    • All handouts, documents, and presentations are the Intellectual Property Rights of AMIDEAST and the class instructors. These materials are for your personal use and should not be shared or reproduced on any public platform. 
    • Students are encouraged to cooperate with each other and show respect and courtesy towards the teacher & other participants. 

    AMIDEAST Virtual Classroom Policies:

    • Students should log onto the virtual classroom at least 15 minutes before class to take care of any connection issues and participate in English.
    • Students should join the class with a camera, microphone, and audio capabilities.
    • Students should keep their microphones muted unless they want to make a comment or ask a question.
    • Complete all assignments and turn them in on the dates scheduled.
    • Cell phones must be in silent mode, and you may not place or take calls during class.
    • Individual course evaluation is done at the end of the session.

     AMIDEAST Classroom Policies:

    • Students are expected to come to class on time.
    • Mobile phones should be put on silent mode.
    • No food or drink is allowed in AMIDEAST classrooms & labs.
    • Break time is 10 minutes for two-hour classes, and 15 minutes for three-hour classes.
    • Individual course evaluation is done at the end of the session.
