• About Our English Program

    Who are we?

    AMIDEAST-GAZA English Language and Training Program is a multi-level program that aims at developing and advancing participants’ language skills in the four areas of: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, in addition to the 21st century skills. Each level is a 30-hour-in-class course in addition to out-of-class assignments that are designed to help participants achieve desired learning outcomes.                       

    Who is this program for?

    Anyone who is willing to develop their language skills can join the English Language Program. Participants above 13 years can Join the General English Language Program, of which they can join the levels program, conversation and writing, special courses for business and other areas. Young participants who are 6 to 12 years can join the Young Learners' Program, which is designed to help young learners develop their English skills in a fun and interactive English speaking environment.

    Our Course Offerings

    Participants can sign up to any of the courses listed below based on a placement test:

    English Language Course Structure

    The main levels in the English Language Program are (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2). All new students will take a placement test and get placed in an appropriate level of the English language classes. Each level has a detailed syllabus above. Classes are given on Saturdays, Mondays, Wednesdays or Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays. From 9:00 am to 7:30 pm. Each class is of two hours duration and runs for 30 hours.

    Young Learners’ Program

    Our English for Young Learners Program is specially designed for kids between 6 and 12 years. In this program, they are given the chance to develop their English in a safe, fun and interactive  environment. We help them practise and develop their English skills through interesting activities. Kids are placed in this program based on their ages. 

    Young Learners Program Courses Details

    General English Language  

    This course is repeatedly held because it is fun, interactive and comprehensive. The main objective of this course is to help kids handle everyday language and feel comfortable with it, using songs, movies, games, stories, and movements, while covering up the four skills of English, in addition to grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills.   

    Storytelling & Drama 

    In this course, teachers build on kids’ innate capacity for fantasy and imaginative play and connect story events to children’s daily life. The major goal of this course is to develop kids’ understanding of themselves and the world around them. Our experience with the kids, in addition to the feedback parents showed, is a rich and vivid demonstration of this unique teaching technique.   

    Conversation & Writing 

    This course is designed for young learners, 10, 11 & 12 years, to help them improve their language learning and develop their oral & written skills for the main purpose of communicating in English. Activities warped up in this course mainly focus on enhancing a child's life skills, such as: problem solving, creative thinking, handling different social situations, uplifting self-confidence, etc... Parents’ feedback and kids’ oral & written outcomes have proven this course of great value for them, noticeably with an edge at school.  

    English, Science & Arts 

    The main objective of this course is to introduce kids to a new knowledge using English language, so as to raise a science -minded child who can ask questions, think critically, experiment, explain his reasoning, and read and write scientific facts/information/reports all in English. The course also builds upon kids’ interests for arts and crafts, so to create a motivating environment for kids to further expand their knowledge of the language, based on these interests.   

    Interpersonal Skills and Lego & Robotics  

    As part of the EL program, kinds are given the opportunity to enhance their interpersonal skills through training on public speaking, communication skills, and debates. They are also given the chance to relate to today’s technology skills in a way that serves to enhance their interpersonal skills. Kids learn to explore how computer programming and robot design can solve problems, as they work to complete fun challenges. Lego & robotics helps them improve their creative thinking skills, social skills, team-work skills, problem solving skills, and computer skills. 

    Kids learn to: 

    • Look for, collect, and use information to make technological experiments. 

    • Use simple software skills: they build simple programs and use them to operate objects that react to real world senses. 

    • Understand how electricity works, using simple electric circuits.  

    • Build & program a robot that can be directed through a software they use for coding.
