This course analyzes Arab-Israeli relations by focusing on the Palestinian question and its relevance to the region. It looks at the roots and history of the question by contextualizing it into regional and international political developments. The course covers the most important events that characterized the Arab-Israeli conflicts providing a solid historic background for analyzing contemporary developments. The course will then follow a chronological criterion: class two and three focus on the roots of the problems by analyzing the Zionist movement and European powers role in the Arab region in the early 20th century.
