This course follows Arabic 103, and introduces learners to more advanced and challenging grammatical and cultural concepts necessary for building a strong Arabic language foundation. That holistic foundation is the primary outcome of this course. Through the use of increasingly complex grammatical structures and concepts, learners activate new vocabulary by means of task-based, student-centered activities. Material for this course comes from Al-Kitaab, Part One, Third Edition, Chapters 11-13, and Al-Kitaab, Part Two, Third Edition, Chapter 1 as well as local materials and materials developed by instructors.
