    Learning outcomes

    By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

    Productive Receptive Language & awareness

    Listening

    Identify facts and opinions, recognize causal and linked relationships, listen for examples, and make inferences from spoken texts.

    Speaking

    Prepare and deliver a persuasive pitch, cite sources clearly, ask effective interview and follow-up questions, and participate actively in group discussions.

    Grammar

    Use adjective clauses and reduced clauses, noun clauses, past modals, and parallel structure in comparisons accurately in context.

    Critical thinking

    Evaluate the strength of arguments using supporting evidence, judge the reliability of sources, examine assumptions, and weigh options to make reasoned judgments.

    Video comprehension

    Understand and discuss videos on attention-span myths, gut bacteria and brain health, impostor syndrome, and how architecture affects well-being.

    Audio comprehension

    Explain strategies for capturing attention, how neurotransmitters affect well-being, ways to develop self-confidence, and how built environments influence health.

    The final grade is based on a weighted combination of six components.

    Online learning
