    Learning Outcomes:

    By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

    1. use auxiliary verbs that are needed to form different tenses correctly.
    2. develop learning vocabulary and word formation skills using dictionaries and different electronic sources.
    3. use a range a range of expressions, both formal and informal, in everyday situations.
    4. distinguish the correct use of present tenses, passive forms and produce appropriate ones.
    5. talk about your weekly study/work routine focusing of language of free time activities.
    6. listen for main ideas and details.
    7. express personal opinions using different expressions, and learning agreement and disagreement techniques.
    8. write letters and e-mails.
    9. talk about past events using different past narrative tenses.
    10. recognize some of the confusing English pronunciation and spelling features.
    11. use question tags to invite agreement .
    12. write an interesting story using suitable linking words.

    AMIDEAST Policy

    • Participants are expected to come to class on time
    • Mobile phones should be put on silent mode.
    • No food or drink is allowed in AMIDEAST classrooms & labs.
    • Break time is 15 minutes.
    • No make-up quizzes are to be held. Absence due to an emergency situation is to be handled by the instructor on an individual basis. Trainees are to provide documentation for the emergency situation.
    • Passing grade is 70%.
    • Course evaluations are done on the 5th session. 
    • Participants are encouraged to cooperate with each other and show respect and courtesy towards the instructor & other participants.
