This course builds on Conversation and Writing I as it improves the range and quality of the students’ paragraph and essay writing. Participants are introduced to the various types of essays, and they learn how to develop a well-rounded essay through step-by-step activities to ensure that students are on the right track in the writing process.
The second half of the course focuses on the participants’ conversational skills and engages them in discussions about modern 21st century topics. Learners are taught how to speak in public confidently, how to debate smartly, how to express themselves fluently, and how to think creatively.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Develop and write different types of essays.
- Distinguish between spoken and written language.
- expand their lexicon and grammar knowledge.
- Speak in public with confidence.
- Learn about the different types of debates and interact in academic debates.
- Improve their creative and critical skills.
