Dear AMIDEAST EL Managers and Coordinators,
Hi, this is David Heuring and I'm sending you this message from the newly created LMS Support Group on AMIDEAST Online. I'm writing all EL managers and coordinators to let you know about this group. I plan to use it to keep everyone updated on LMS developments, including news about AOEPT, LMS grading and attendance, teacher e-learning training, and various other e-learning matters and opportunities. These messages will come from the Group's discussion forum, so if you wish to reply, you'll need to log on and go to the Communications tab in the LMS Support Group homepage. There are also LMS training resources and documentation available so the site will serve a number of purposes besides communications.
I'd also like to extend an invitation to others from your office who might be interested in joining the group. For instance, I didn't include country directors or other higher level non-English staff members in the group because I wasn't sure if they want to get emails from forum discussions. They are most welcome though so please check with them. If they do want to join, kindly provide them with the enrollment key - ypbicp (assuming that they have an account on the LMS}. I'd also like to suggest that you have any teacher on your EL staff who is engaged in e-learning or who has demonstrated a knack for e-learning join the group. You can give them the same enrollment key.
So to kick off the information sharing, I'll be in touch tomorrow about an AOEPT development concerning the availability of new speaking and writing tests. Stay tuned!!!
